Efektivitas Metode Pembelajaran Pemecahan Masalah Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas VII SMP Negeri Rappang

This research is in the background of observation of the writer of SMP Negeri Rappang experiencing problems, caused by low ability of learners to understand and comprehend Mathematics subject matter, so that learners less active in learning process which resulted in low learning result Matematika.Penelitian aim to know effectiveness of The application of problem solving learning method (Problem Solving) in the process of doing the Mathematics of the subject matter in the students of class VII by looking at the learning outcomes, activities and responses of the learners. This type of research is an experimental research involving 2 different groups or classes but has a homogeneous ability. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMPN Rappang which amounted to 71 people. The sample of this study is the students of class VII C as the experimental class and class VII B as the control class. The results showed that the experimental class learning result reached classical completeness reaching 78%, and ability, activity of learners in the experimental group meet the effectiveness criteria that reach 69.27% and the response of learners is in positive category with the average value 69,454%. It can be concluded that Problem solving method can improve learning outcomes of students of Class VII SMPN Rappang and make learners spirit in doing Mathematics problems.
